Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Mason, OH

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong skills in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing. In this contract role, you will play a crucial part in promoting quality patient care within a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license
• Proven experience in a Medical-Surgical (RN-MS, RN-Med Surg) environment
• Solid assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple patients and adapt to a fast-paced unit
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to adult patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions
• Perform admissions, monitoring, and discharge planning for patients
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders
• Document assessments, care provided, and patient responses in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and support staff to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and their families regarding ongoing treatment, medication, and discharge planning
• Uphold infection control and safety practices at all times
