This contract nursing opportunity focuses on delivering skilled care across medical-surgical (Med Surg) units, with an emphasis on managing a wide range of cases—from general medical and orthopedic to surgery, gastrointestinal, telemetry, and stepdown patients.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 13-week contract
  • Rotating shifts:
    • Rotation 1: Monday–Sunday, includes weekday and weekend coverage
    • Rotation 2: Night shifts, various weekdays and weekends
  • Nights required

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Mississippi RN license
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 3+ years of recent Med Surg experience preferred
  • Proficient with EPIC electronic health records
  • Ability to manage a 5-7 patient assignment, including total care and higher acuity patients
  • Confident clinical judgment and strong communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver attentive, compassionate care to patients across multiple specialties, including telemetry and stepdown
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the EPIC system
  • Prioritize and manage a moderate to high patient load effectively
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes
  • Flexibly adapt to rotating shifts and varying patient needs
