Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Mathiston, MS

Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week assignment
• Rotating night shifts (Rotation 1: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Thurs, Fri; Rotation 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active RN license issued by the state of Mississippi
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years recent acute care experience as a Med Surg RN
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage a 5-7 patient load, including several total care patients

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a mixed patient population: medical, orthopedic, general surgical, GIP, telemetry, and stepdown
• Ensure patient safety and quickly identify changes in condition
• Document patient care and manage orders within EPIC
• Collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and support staff for best patient outcomes
• Demonstrate compassionate communication with patients and families
• Maintain high standards of infection control and compliance with protocols
