Take the next step in your nursing career as a key member of a diverse team delivering care on a medical-surgical/telemetry resource unit. This contract opportunity offers meaningful patient engagement within a multidisciplinary setting.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
  • No on-call requirements
  • Holiday work required for 75% of holidays
  • Rotating 6-week schedule cycle
  • Up to 6 days off (excluding holidays), with approval

Qualifications:

  • Current, active RN license
  • Minimum of 18 months experience in Med/Tele
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, trach care
  • Competence with PIV starts, NGT, chest tube management, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, JP drains, flexiseals, foleys)
  • Medication drip management (cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVFs)
  • Experienced with Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors
  • Willingness to float to multiple units and facilities as needed (travel during shift time compensated)
  • Prefer experience with end-stage renal, diabetes, altered mental status, fluid overload, sickle cell, behavioral health

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care for a diverse patient population, including those with complex and chronic diagnoses
  • Manage patient ratios of 1:5-6 (surge up to 1:7-8)
  • Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and ancillary support teams
  • Engage in ongoing clinical documentation and medication administration via EMR and automated dispensing systems
  • Rotate among designated units and facilities consistent with the needs of the organization
