Schedule/Hours:
- Rotating weekends (every other)
- No on-call required
- Expected to work 75% of holidays
- Up to 6 days of pre-approved time off (excluding holidays; contract extension may be needed if full hours aren’t met)
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
Qualifications:
- Active RN license, eligible in North Carolina
- Minimum 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience (Resource Team)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain and tube management, PCA pumps
- Medication gtt management, including administration of cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF
- Flexibility to float among identified regional facilities, within scope of practice
- EMR experience with Epic, familiar with Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate and efficient care to Med/Tele and postoperative patients (bariatric, urology, general surgery, abdominal, and more)
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy staff, IV/VAT teams, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists
- Participate in department and hospital orientation
- Adapt quickly to regional assignments and floating as needed to ensure high-quality care
