Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Mckinleyville, CA

This opportunity calls for a skilled Registered Nurse with proven experience in Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) nursing. As a contract RN, you will provide crucial, compassionate care to diverse patient populations within a dynamic hospital environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care in accordance with established protocols and best practices
• Conduct assessments, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress
• Administer medications, IVs, and perform wound care as prescribed
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and allied health professionals
• Educate patients and families regarding ongoing care, treatment, and discharge planning
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient acuity
• Maintain precise and timely medical records, ensuring HIPAA compliance

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• Recent experience working in a Med-Surg (Medical-Surgical) setting
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• BLS certification required; additional certifications (such as ACLS) are a plus

Schedule:

• Contract assignment, full-time
• 40 hours per week

Compensation & Benefits:
