Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult medical/surgical inpatients, including those with orthopedic, neuro-surgical, and trauma-related conditions. This contract opportunity calls for an experienced RN who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to advancing patient safety, pain management, and exceptional care outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active RN license – unrestricted and in good standing
- At least one year of recent acute care experience in a medical-surgical setting
- Prior experience caring for orthopedic, neuro-surgical, or trauma patients is highly valued
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to adult inpatients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans
- Safeguard patient safety, targeting a zero-harm environment every shift
- Manage pain effectively and coordinate interventions for symptom relief
- Conduct proactive rounding to anticipate patient needs and improve the overall care experience
- Participate in bedside hand-off processes to ensure thorough communication during transitions of care
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
- Support and educate patients and their families, fostering positive hospital experiences
