Medical-Surgical RN in Meriden, CT

Seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) and Telemetry care to play an integral role in supporting patient outcomes within a dynamic healthcare environment. Desired Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license (required)
• Minimum of one year recent experience in Med Surg and/or Telemetry nursing
• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in electronic health records and bedside documentation
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate patient-centered care
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities and respond calmly in urgent situations

Schedule:

• Full-time hours, including potential for weekends and evenings based on unit needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, performing frequent physical assessments and vital sign checks
• Provide comprehensive care for a diverse adult patient population with acute and chronic medical conditions
• Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans
• Interpret and respond to cardiac telemetry monitoring utilizing advanced clinical knowledge
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatment options, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate, detailed records in compliance with hospital standards and policies
