Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel nurse assignment, day and night shifts
  • Floating within regional facilities, as needed (with paid travel time if floating mid-shift)

Qualifications:

  • Active RN licensure
  • Minimum 18 months Med/Tele nursing experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Strong MedSurg/Tele skills including cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke/NIH assessments, trach care, drain/tube management, and medication gtt management
  • Experience with Epic and large healthcare teams
  • Professional flexibility to float regionally as required

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on care for patients with diverse acute and chronic conditions like strokes, chest pain, and COPD
  • Skillfully manage and assess a patient load of 5-6 (potentially up to 7-8 during surge staffing)
  • Collaborate with CNAs, physicians, and support staff for optimal patient outcomes
  • Utilize modern hospital technology for documentation and patient monitoring
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, participate in orientation and ongoing education
  • Demonstrate adaptability when floating to sister facilities within the designated region
