Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) in Mississippi State, MS

This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse population, including medical, orthopedic, general surgery, gastrointestinal, telemetry, and stepdown patients. The ideal candidate is a seasoned RN with Med/Surg proficiency and a proven track record handling varied clinical cases.

Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week contract, starting 11/9
• Rotating shifts:
  • Rotation 1: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Thurs, Fri
  • Rotation 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Potential holiday requirements
• On-call is possible

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 3 years of recent Med/Surg experience
• Strong command of EPIC electronic health record system
• Demonstrated ability to manage a 5-7 patient load, including total care cases
• Solid knowledge of caring for a wide range of patient conditions, including telemetry and stepdown
• Adept at adapting in fast-changing healthcare environments and working with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to medically diverse adult populations
• Accurately document assessments, plans, and interventions in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff for optimal care coordination
• Monitor, assess, and respond appropriately to changes in patient conditions
• Provide education, support, and clear communication to patients and their families

$1,815 - $1,920/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
