Schedule/Hours:

• Choice of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Holidays are part of the rotation
• Every other weekend required

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Valid Registered Nurse license for Alabama or Compact (no temporary licenses accepted; must be verified by NURSYS)
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (will consider candidates with at least 18 months if at least 1 year is in the specialty area)
• Readiness and flexibility to float to different units and neighboring hospitals

Responsibilities:

• Manage a patient load of 1:6 on the general unit, or 1:4 in the step-down setting
• Deliver care for patients with respiratory conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, and other lung diseases
• Support diverse patient needs, including GI issues, diabetes, surgical, and stroke care
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team for comprehensive care planning
