Nurses on this 42-bed unit manage a diverse population—from respiratory patients with pneumonia or COPD, to those facing GI issues, diabetes, and post-surgical recovery. The attached 8-bed respiratory step-down unit offers further opportunities for skill advancement, operating at a 1:4 ratio.

Schedule & Hours:

• 36 or 48 hours per week—your choice for optimal work-life balance
• Holidays as required
• Every other weekend
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in nursing
• Active Alabama or compact RN license (no temporary licenses)
• AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (or 18 months under the highest nursing license, with 1 year recent in specialty)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care on a 1:6 nursing ratio in the main unit and 1:4 in the step-down area
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during daily patient rounds
• Offer expert nursing care to patients with respiratory and a variety of other medical conditions
• Float to additional units and hospitals as needed
