Registered Nurse Med Surg | Mount Juliet, Tennessee

Experienced registered nurses with a passion for medical-surgical care are invited to take on a dynamic contract position within a collaborative medical-surgical float pool. You’ll have opportunities to contribute your clinical expertise while supporting a diverse adult patient population across five med/surg units. The role requires adaptability and a commitment to high-quality patient care alongside a team-oriented staff. Orientation is available on either 5/11 or 5/18.

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.
• Weekend shifts required
• Unit-based self-scheduling

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (must be on file at submission)
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Prior experience as a travel RN
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to float among five med/surg units and to ER as needed
• Comfort with adult (18+) general med/surg patient population
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
• Professional, flexible, and able to work in navy scrubs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-acuity care across a variety of med/surg units, adapting to patient and unit needs
• Support a 1:1–1:6 nurse-patient ratio depending on assignment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float to the ER if required, demonstrating strong adaptability and critical thinking
• Accurately document patient care in the Cerner EMR system
• Ensure compassionate, evidence-based care in accordance with facility standards
