Qualifications:
- Valid, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year experience on a Medical-Surgical (MS) unit
- BLS certification (current and valid)
- Strong assessment, documentation, and IV skills
- Excellent communication abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience adapting to fast-paced clinical environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care and comprehensive assessments for adult patients with varied diagnoses
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and carry out treatment plans according to physician orders
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and other healthcare team members regarding care plans and progress
- Document all care activities accurately in the electronic health record
- Collaborate on discharge planning and patient education to promote positive outcomes
- Adhere to infection control protocols and evidence-based nursing practices
- Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition
