Job Type Contract

Skilled Registered Nurses with solid Med/Surg experience are needed for contract assignments in a dynamic float pool. Candidates will work within five adult Med/Surg units and may float to the ER as needed. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and can adapt to varying care needs.

Schedule & Assignment Details:

  • 12-hour night shifts, 7 PM – 7 AM
  • Weekend shifts required
  • Orientation dates: 5/11 or 5/18

Qualifications:

  • Valid TN RN license or compact license on file at submission
  • Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience
  • Prior travel nurse experience required
  • Active BLS certification (AHA)
  • Comfort working across multiple units, including potential float to the ER
  • Proficient with Cerner EMR
  • Willingness to wear navy scrubs per unit guidelines

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care to adults (18+) with a variety of general Med/Surg needs
  • Manage patient ratios that may vary between 1:1 to 1:6, depending on specific unit assignments
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Respond flexibly to changing unit demands, including covering weekend shifts and floating as assigned
  • Complete thorough, accurate documentation in the Cerner system
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in patient care
