Take on a dynamic nursing assignment in a well-recognized medical-surgical and orthopedic/spine environment, supporting a busy 54-bed unit equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative team culture. This contract role offers you the chance to work across a broad patient population—including general med-surg, ortho/spine, trauma, and psych medical hold patients—while gaining exposure to cutting-edge procedures and equipment.
Schedule/Hours:
- At least one weekend shift required during each 4-week period (split scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Flexible block scheduling available as needed
Qualifications:
- Active RN license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS optional)
- Minimum 1 year of recent medical/surgical nursing experience
- Proficient assessment, prioritization, time management, and critical thinking abilities
- Strong communication skills, punctuality, reliability, and a proactive, supportive attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate care to a diverse patient base, including postoperative ortho/spine, trauma, and medical-surgical patients
- Function effectively within a team, collaborating with RNs, LPNs, and patient care techs
- Complete thorough assessments, administration of treatments and medications, and meticulous documentation in Meditech
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Alaris pumps, telemetry, wound vacs, and advanced transfer tools
- Float within similar units as required, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes throughout
