Working as a Medical-Surgical RN on this travel contract offers a prime setting to engage with a multidisciplinary team, learn adaptable approaches to patient care, and refine your skills by managing diverse populations—including experiences with ED holds and dynamic patient acuities. Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00am – 7:30pm
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation

Desired Qualifications:

• Current RN license, valid in Connecticut or multi-state/compact
• Minimum of one year recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience (travel experience preferred)
• Comfortable with inpatient holds and managing varying patient acuity
• Ability to float to the Emergency Department preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and a collaborative approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional care for adult med-surg patients, including those awaiting inpatient placement from the ED
• Triage, assess, and monitor patient conditions across a range of acuity levels
• Communicate proactively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families
• Support patient safety initiatives and evidence-based best practices
• Document care accurately while maintaining regulatory compliance
