Medical-Surgical RN in New Britain, CT

Qualifications & Required Experience:

• Active, unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Med-Surg and/or Telemetry units
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong assessment, multitasking, and communication skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Adaptable, collaborative, and committed to evidence-based practices

Schedule:

• Schedule will be discussed during the interview process to match facility needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individualized nursing care to adult patients across Med-Surg and Telemetry units
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms, promptly reporting any changes
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, closely following physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
• Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge processes to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate patient records
