Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) in New Britain, CT

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a medical-surgical (MS) unit
• Proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, and clinical documentation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Familiarity with electronic health records and standard hospital protocols

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced med-surg environment
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, promptly reporting any changes to physicians
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and ongoing care needs
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to create a positive patient experience
• Maintain rigorous infection control and safety practices throughout all nursing activities
• Accurately document patient information and interventions in electronic records
