Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - New Hartford, New York

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Proven experience in oncology care is required
• Proficient with electronic medical records and standard clinical protocols
• Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based care and patient safety
• Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and adapt to evolving patient needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to oncology patients, monitoring for changes in condition and responding appropriately
• Safely administer chemotherapy and manage associated side effects and complications
• Assess, plan, and evaluate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and specialists
• Deliver patient education regarding disease, treatment options, and symptom management
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold regulatory requirements for oncology care
• Serve as a resource and advocate for both patients and their families throughout the treatment journey
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control procedures, and quality standards
