Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - New Hartford, NY

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a strong background in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) and Oncology care. This contract position provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive healthcare environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license, in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
• Recent hands-on Oncology experience is essential
• BLS certification required; additional oncology-related credentials are a plus
• Strong assessment, clinical documentation, and patient education skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to adult oncology and Med Surg patients
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, implementing care plans in collaboration with physicians and support staff
• Administer medications, chemotherapy, IV therapies, and pain management as ordered
• Provide emotional support, education, and resources to patients and their families throughout the treatment process
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
