Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical (MS) RN role
• Proven experience working with oncology patients required
• Solid understanding of chemotherapy administration, side effect management, and cancer care protocols
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Exceptional assessment, critical thinking, and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and patient advocacy abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and oncology patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications
• Educate patients and families about cancer treatment, symptom management, and general health practices
• Monitor and document changes in condition, communicate promptly with physicians, and adjust care plans as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records per facility policies
• Uphold infection control standards and compliance with all regulatory guidelines
