Schedule & Hours

  • 12-hour shifts: 0700-1900 or 1900-0700
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • No on-call required
  • Holiday commitment: 75% of holidays
  • Up to 6 days of approved time off (with schedule adjustment for contracted hours)

Qualifications

  • Active RN license
  • 18+ months of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
  • Strong clinical skills: Stroke assessment, chest tube and drain management, IV/PIV starts, cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication drip management, and trach care
  • Experience with Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and Philips monitors
  • Flexibility to float within region as needed (paid for in-shift travel)
  • Team player, adaptable to shifting assignments

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to Med Surg and telemetry patients (common diagnoses: stroke, COPD, chest pain, GI bleed)
  • Perform NIH stroke assessments, cardiac monitoring, medication management, and complex care procedures (NGT, foleys, PCA pumps, etc.)
  • Collaborate with CNAs, phlebotomists, RTs, and hospitalists in a support-rich environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR system
