Working here allows you to immerse yourself in an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, offering invaluable experience with diverse patient populations, including complex stroke care, COPD, cardiac, and GI cases. Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible shifts with the possibility of rotating assignments
- Floating required within the regional network; paid travel time between facilities if floating mid-shift
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Tele experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required)
- Competency in stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tube management, IV/PIV starts, trach care, NGT and drain/tube management, and administering medication drips (including cardiac, heparin, blood products)
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care in MedSurg/Tele environment (Average 1:5-6 ratio, acuity dependent)
- Conduct thorough stroke assessments and participate in multidisciplinary rounds
- Administer medications, manage drips, blood products, and IVFs
- Collaborate with CNAs, RNs, hospitalists, and RTs; delegate and supervise appropriately
- Communicate effectively and maintain accurate documentation in Epic
- Float to other units within scope of practice as required
