You’ll provide care in a dynamic unit that manages diverse patient populations, such as stroke, COPD, chest pain, GI bleeds, and more. Schedule/Hours:
- Day and night shifts available
- Occasional floating to other nearby facilities within the region as needed (travel time between facilities is paid)
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg-telemetry experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, Omnicell
- Ability to perform core Med/Tele skills: NIH assessments, stroke care, chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, drain/tube management, PCA pumps, and cardiac drip/IVF management
- Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:5–6 (may increase during surge staffing)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care for a range of complex diagnoses
- Efficiently manage cardiac drips, blood products, and medications
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Float to multiple units/facilities as required within your practice scope
