Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - New London, North Carolina

Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible shifts with the possibility of rotating assignments
• Floating required within the regional network; paid travel time between facilities if floating mid-shift

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Tele experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required)
• Competency in stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tube management, IV/PIV starts, trach care, NGT and drain/tube management, and administering medication drips (including cardiac, heparin, blood products)
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care in MedSurg/Tele environment (Average 1:5-6 ratio, acuity dependent)
• Conduct thorough stroke assessments and participate in multidisciplinary rounds
• Administer medications, manage drips, blood products, and IVFs
• Collaborate with CNAs, RNs, hospitalists, and RTs; delegate and supervise appropriately
• Communicate effectively and maintain accurate documentation in Epic
• Float to other units within scope of practice as required
