Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Medical-Surgical (MS) nursing experience required
- Competent assessment skills across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric)
- Familiarity with emergency equipment, clinical protocols, and safe patient transfer techniques
- Proficient in documentation, HIPAA compliance, and patient education
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and deliver individualized care spanning pre- and postoperative settings
- Demonstrate strong clinical skills and initiative in supporting patient care delivery
- Document nursing interventions accurately, including patient education and progress toward outcomes
- Respond courteously and professionally to patients, families, and colleagues, supporting an environment of patient-centered care
- Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocols, and patient identification procedures
- Collaborate with the perioperative team, assuming accountability in prioritizing care
- Assess patients’ understanding of surgical procedures; provide education pre- and postoperatively
- Support the Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) process, ensuring accurate and timely patient evaluations
