Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - North Ridgeville, Ohio

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and every other holiday commitment

In this role, you'll expand your expertise by caring for a range of patient populations—ortho, neuro, and telemetry—within a well-equipped 29-bed Med Surg/Tele unit. You'll collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, practice advanced skills with a variety of lines, drips, and respiratory devices, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives. Expect busy, meaningful shifts and the professional satisfaction of delivering care at a high level.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license (OH or compact)
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience (travel experience not required)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Experience with insulin gtts
• Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills
• Comfortable with a 1:5-1:6 patient ratio—especially on nights

Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, and care planning using the nursing process
• Safe administration of medications and management of non-titratable drips
• Telemetry strip interpretation and documentation in EPIC once per shift
• Collaborate with ancillary staff for holistic patient care
• Support patient and family understanding and coping, including education and advocacy
• Respond confidently to rapidly changing patient conditions
