Travel Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - North Ridgeville, OH

As a Registered Nurse with a focus on Med Surg/Telemetry, you’ll work alongside accomplished nursing professionals and clinical leaders, gaining exposure to a variety of care protocols, patient populations, and interdisciplinary work styles. Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, manage Med Surg/Telemetry patients including ortho, neuro, and chronic care populations
• Administer medications (including drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin) and manage devices such as wound vacs, PICC lines, Central lines, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and serve as a safety and patient care advocate
• Mentor and orient other staff; deliver patient and family education
• Maintain documentation in EPIC EHR

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license in OH or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Experience managing insulin gtts
• Dysrhythmia exam completion required (study guide available)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Prior travel nursing experience not required
