Registered Nurse - Oncology - Andover, KS

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift: 7PM – 7AM

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience required
• Previous oncology experience is highly desirable
• Chemo certification and ACLS preferred
• Experience with Meditech charting system beneficial
• Positive attitude and teamwork-oriented mindset

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population on a 24-bed Med/Surg-Oncology unit
• Administer standard Med/Surg treatments and, if certified, chemotherapy
• Adhere to established guidelines: vital signs every 8 hours (q8h), with remote telemetry patients monitored every 4 hours (q4h)
• Collaborate with a supportive team that includes charge nurses and experienced staff
• Utilize iPhone nursing communication system to coordinate with care team members efficiently
• Provide input and feedback to continuously improve patient care, contributing to the facility’s culture of excellence
