Schedule:
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Med/Surg experience required
- Prior experience in oncology units preferred
- Chemo certification highly desired; ACLS certification preferred
- Familiarity with meditech EMR is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive, adaptable attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and oncology patients in a 24-bed unit
- Administer chemotherapy (if chemo-certified) and perform standard care procedures
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:5, ensuring attentive, individualized care
- Accurately document patient information and care activities using meditech
- Monitor vital signs as per unit protocol, including remote tele patients
- Collaborate with an experienced team—1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and administrative care techs per shift—for optimal care delivery
- Engage in a primary nursing care model and contribute to a supportive, team-focused environment
