Schedule:

  • Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active RN license; MS/Oncology nursing experience required
  • Proficiency in Med/Surg nursing and patient care
  • Strongly preferred: Chemotherapy certification and ACLS certification
  • Adaptability to the meditech charting system
  • Positive, collaborative attitude and team focus
  • Ability to maintain patient ratios of 1:5 during full census
  • Familiarity with primary nursing care models supported by an Admin Care Tech

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology and general med/surg patients
  • Safely administer chemotherapy (for chemo-certified nurses only)
  • Manage routine patient monitoring: vital signs every 8 hours (every 4 hours for remote telemetry)
  • Communicate effectively using provided iPhone nursing system for immediate team interaction
  • Participate in a collaborative care environment, welcoming nurse input to continuously improve patient outcomes
  • Model best practices as outlined in unit guidelines and policies
