In this dynamic RN assignment, you’ll be responsible for independently managing a busy Medical Oncology clinic, with exposure to a wide variety of patient conditions from general oncology to specialized hematology and breast clinics. This is an ideal opportunity for Registered Nurses seeking to interact with a collaborative team, learn from seasoned professionals, and gain experience with cutting-edge practices and technology, including EPIC EMR and Omnicell.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm
- No weekends, on-call, or holiday shifts
- 4-week schedule cycles
- Shifts based exclusively in Concord
Key Qualifications:
- Current RN license; BLS certification required
- OCN certification is highly valued
- At least 1 year of Medical Oncology RN experience (2+ years preferred)
- Strong clinical triage and assessment skills
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR, port access, and peripheral blood draws
- Ability to provide high-level patient/phone triage and act as a clinical liaison
- Clinic experience preferred (strong acute care oncology considered)
- Ability to independently run patient treatment plans and maintain detailed documentation
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and deliver comprehensive oncology patient care in an outpatient clinic setting
- Engage in the full treatment plan process, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, APPs, and support staff
- Independently manage clinic flow, including conducting assessments and providing phlebotomy/port-a-cath access
- Serve as a patient and provider liaison, facilitating communication and seamless care coordination
- Utilize EPIC for charting, patient messaging, and workflow management
