Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Prior experience in a medical-surgical oncology unit required
- Comprehensive understanding of chemotherapy, symptom management, and oncology protocols
- Ability to assess patient conditions, monitor treatment responses, and administer oncology-specific medications
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Current BLS certification
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to oncology patients, including medication administration and monitoring for side effects
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in coordination with the healthcare team
- Support patients and families through diagnosis, treatment, and symptom management
- Document all aspects of nursing care accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Respond swiftly to patient needs and changes in condition
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to informed care planning
