Oncology Registered Nurse - Derby, KS

This contract offers experienced Registered Nurses an opportunity to provide high-quality care on an engaging med/surg-oncology floor equipped with advanced tools, including an EMR (Meditech) and a convenient iPhone-based communication system. Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent Med/Surg experience
• Strong patient care and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-centered environment

Preferred:

• Chemo certification for chemotherapy administration
• ACLS certification

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology and med/surg patients within a 24-bed unit
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated team (charge RN, nursing staff, care techs) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer standard medical-surgical and chemotherapy treatments (chemo admin only if certified)
• Monitor and record patient vital signs according to unit protocols (VS q8h; q4h for remote tele patients)
• Utilize Meditech for accurate electronic documentation
• Communicate effectively and promptly with colleagues via facility-provided iPhones
