Oncology Registered Nurse - Elyria, Ohio

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in medical-surgical oncology
• Proficiency in comprehensive patient assessment, medication administration, and chemotherapy protocols
• Strong understanding of oncology treatments, side-effect management, and patient education
• Exceptional communication abilities and a collaborative spirit for working alongside a multidisciplinary team
• Current BLS certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive, compassionate care to oncology patients, monitoring for changes in condition and responding promptly to acute needs
• Administer chemotherapy and other cancer therapies while adhering to safety standards and established protocols
• Perform detailed patient assessments, manage symptoms, and facilitate timely interventions to enhance patient comfort and health
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, side effect management, and home care strategies
• Collaborate with physicians and allied healthcare professionals for holistic care coordination and effective discharge planning
• Diligently document all care provided in accordance with facility guidelines and regulatory requirements
