Schedule:

  • Night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license (Nursing – RN – MS Oncology)
  • Minimum of 1 year recent, acute-care Oncology nursing experience in a hospital setting
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to manage acutely ill hematology patients

Preferred Experience:

  • Chemo and biotherapy certification (not required to administer chemotherapy, but a plus)
  • Step-down experience and comfort with advanced standing orders (e.g., fluid bolus, managing first fever)
  • Compassion and adaptability; dedication to serving oncology patients with empathy and resilience

Unit Highlights & Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care on an 18-bed Blood Cancer Unit utilizing the latest medical equipment (telemetry, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps)
  • Collaborate with a close-knit group of expert RNs and skilled CNAs—supported by a dedicated night shift charge nurse
  • Maintain patient ratios of 3-4:1 for focused, high-quality care
  • Participate in advanced procedures including lumbar puncture, bone marrow biopsy (with/without sedation), and thoracentesis
  • Administer and monitor blood products and electrolyte replacements per evidence-based protocols
