Oncology RN in Glenwood Springs, CO

Provide exceptional care to patients with oncology needs in a dynamic medical-surgical environment. This position is suited for a Registered Nurse with specialized expertise in Oncology, who is passionate about supporting patients through their cancer journey and delivering evidence-based nursing interventions.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current, active RN license
• At least one year of recent experience in MS Oncology and/or Oncology nursing
• BLS certification (additional oncology-specific certifications are a plus)
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities
• Comfort with electronic medical records and documentation requirements
• Compassion, resilience, and the ability to provide emotional support

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor for side effects or complications specific to oncology treatments
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, pharmacists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans
• Educate patients and families about treatment protocols, symptom management, and hematology/oncology care processes
• Provide timely interventions and advocate for patient comfort, safety, and optimal outcomes
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate clinical records reflecting treatment progress and nursing interventions
• Support and uphold infection control and patient safety procedures at all times
