Registered Nurse - Oncology in Haysville, KS

Schedule:

• Night shift, 7PM to 7AM

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with relevant med/surg experience
• Prior work in oncology units strongly preferred
• Chemotherapy certification is a plus
• ACLS certification desired
• Positive, solution-oriented attitude and ability to thrive in a team-based model
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred

Unit Details:

• 24-bed unit with primary nursing care model
• Night shift includes 1 charge nurse and 5 RNs (full capacity)
• Patient ratio typically 1:5
• State-of-the-art remote telemetry and comprehensive oncology focus
• Supportive leadership and systems in place for immediate inter-team communication through work iPhones

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to diverse med/surg and oncology patients
• Perform and document vital signs per unit policy (q8h or q4h for remote telemetry patients)
• Safely administer medications and chemotherapy (for chemo-certified staff)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to care plans and providing input on patient care improvements
