As a Registered Nurse specializing in MS Oncology, you will work in a dynamic setting with 18 semi-private bays, independently administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies as ordered by providers. This role offers you unique exposure to a wide range of workplace practices and leadership approaches; enriching your experience as you collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams. You’ll also be utilizing Epic EMR, broadening your technical skill set while supporting patients through critical care pathways.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete a required employee health appointment on Friday. Timeliness is essential for onboarding.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with oncology experience required
  • Proficiency in Epic EMR
  • Solid knowledge and safe handling of chemotherapy and hazardous agents
  • Skilled in port-a-cath, PICC, and Hickman catheter access and care
  • Strong ability to deliver patient and family education and navigate complex medication regimens
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate and concise patient records

Responsibilities:

  • Independently administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, injections, and more as per provider orders
  • Manage invasive lines (port-a-caths, PICCs, Hickman catheters) and perform associated procedures
  • Monitor patient responses and document all treatments meticulously
  • Initiate emergency protocols and notify clinical leadership as necessary
  • Educate patients and families regarding therapies, disease process, and side effects
  • Ensure all processes align with hospital infection prevention, safety, and compliance standards
