Chemo (RN) Registered Nurse - Oncology | Tucson, Arizona

Bring your specialized nursing expertise to a dynamic Medical-Surgical Oncology unit. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses who are passionate about delivering comprehensive care to oncology patients and are comfortable administering chemotherapy. Nurses with hands-on chemo experience are highly valued, though a formal chemo certification is not required.

Schedule & Commitment:

• 5x8-hour shifts per week
• 40 hours guaranteed each week
• 13-week duration

Qualifications:

• Active Arizona RN license or compact state RN license required
• Minimum of one year experience in Medical-Surgical Oncology nursing
• Recent experience administering chemotherapy (no certification required)
• Ability to communicate effectively with oncology patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Current BLS certification 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to the needs of oncology patients
• Safely administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for side effects and reactions
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other team members to coordinate patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about chemotherapy regimens, side effect management, and overall health maintenance
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and patient records
• Adhere to evidence-based practices and facility protocols at all times
