Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum of one year recent experience in a Medical-Surgical (MS) RN role
- Demonstrated background in oncology care; direct oncology experience required
- Advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficient with electronic health records and routine MS-ONC procedures
- CPR/BLS certification (additional oncology-related certifications preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver focused patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and observing treatment responses for oncology patients
- Collaborate with physicians, oncology specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate and support patients and families regarding treatment regimens, symptom management, and post-hospital care
- Document patient progress, interventions, and changes accurately in the electronic health record
- Ensure infection control practices and safe patient-handling procedures are followed at all times
- Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition swiftly and appropriately
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities
