Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in a Medical-Surgical (MS) RN role
  • Demonstrated background in oncology care; direct oncology experience required
  • Advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Proficient with electronic health records and routine MS-ONC procedures
  • CPR/BLS certification (additional oncology-related certifications preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver focused patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and observing treatment responses for oncology patients
  • Collaborate with physicians, oncology specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate and support patients and families regarding treatment regimens, symptom management, and post-hospital care
  • Document patient progress, interventions, and changes accurately in the electronic health record
  • Ensure infection control practices and safe patient-handling procedures are followed at all times
  • Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition swiftly and appropriately
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities
