This 13-week travel opportunity will place you on the 6th Floor Medical/Surgical unit, where you'll bring and enhance your trauma, neuro, and ortho experience. You'll work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, rounding out your resume with advanced trauma and post-op care skills, and benefit from working with EPIC charting. With every weekend shifts and a guaranteed 36 hours per week (except for holiday unit closures), you'll enjoy structured, predictable scheduling, allowing for memorable adventures and downtime exploration in the Oshkosh area.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts: 5:30am start
  • Every weekend: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • 13-week contract
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week (except during specific holiday closures)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to trauma surgical, neuro, and ortho patients (patient ratio 1:5)
  • Float within the facility and to partner sites within a 60-mile radius as needed
  • Adhere to post-operative protocols for neuro and ortho trauma surgeries
  • Manage patient assignments, including those with chest tubes, PCA/epidural/Q-ball, CBI, and post-op neuro/ortho trauma cases
  • Chart accurately using EPIC

Requirements:

  • Active WI RN license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 3 years RN experience, with at least 2 years on a med-surg unit and 1 travel assignment
  • EPIC proficiency within the last 2 years
  • Proven resilience, adaptability, and strong social/interpersonal skills
  • Specific trauma, neuro, and ortho surgical experience required
  • Must not reside within 50 miles of the job location
