Experienced nurses ready for a dynamic Med Surg environment are in demand for a 13-week contract opportunity. This role delivers direct patient care and support in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting, providing expert assessment, care planning, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams.

Schedule:

  • 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum one year recent experience in a Med Surg (MS) unit
  • Proficient in assessment, critical thinking, and patient care interventions
  • Current BLS certification required (additional certifications a plus)
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities
  • Adaptable to changing patient conditions and unit needs
  • Experience with EMR systems

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a varied patient population on a Med Surg floor
  • Complete thorough assessments and document findings accurately
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for optimum patient outcomes
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and efficiently
  • Provide patient and family education to support ongoing care and recovery
  • Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards to maintain a safe work environment
  • Participate in unit activities and professional development
