Take on a vital Med/Surg and Neuro Acute Care role, caring for diverse patient populations and gaining exposure to a range of practices and leadership approaches. Working on a 24-bed acute care unit, you’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, refine your neuro/post-stroke skills, and further build a standout resume with hands-on experience in stroke assessments, dysphagia screenings, and TR band management.
Schedule/Hours
- Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- 36 hours per week guaranteed (may be cancelled up to 3 times per contract)
- Every other weekend coverage required
Desired Qualifications
- Active RN license (AHA certifications for BLS, NIHSS required)
- Minimum 2 years of neuro/post-stroke acute care experience
- Proficiency in dysphagia screenings, stroke assessments, BCMA, Cerner EMR, and strong time management
- Adaptable, collaborative, and patient-centric attitude
- Preferred: TR band management experience
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding care to neuro and general medicine patients
- Perform thorough neuro and stroke-specific assessments
- Lead and participate in interdisciplinary communication
- Maintain compliance with evidence-based protocols
- Float between units and nearby facilities as needed (within 25 miles)
- Adhere to dress code: Navy blue scrubs and TJC/CMS guidelines for attire
