Advance your nursing practice in a dynamic surgical unit, providing exceptional care on a dedicated night shift schedule. This assignment requires a committed professional with proven expertise in Med Surg nursing at an RN level, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact over a 13 to 16-week contract.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts
- 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required
- Three holidays required (a combination of: 11/27, 11/28, 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, 1/1)
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted AL or multistate compact RN license (no pending applications)
- Minimum of 2 years’ current experience in Med Surg or surgical nursing
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Proficiency and recent experience with Cerner electronic health records
- Flexibility with schedules, especially regarding holidays; unable to guarantee blocked scheduling
- Demonstrated ability to adapt in busy, team-based environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care to post-surgical and medical patients in Unit 4 Surgical
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, and care planning using Cerner
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure seamless care transitions
- Prioritize patient safety and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families throughout the recovery process
