This travel assignment not only expands your clinical expertise but also provides the chance to build your resume with acute and surgical care experience, including trauma and post-operative recovery. Schedule:

  • 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts
  • Every other weekend and one major holiday required
  • Potential for blocked weekend schedules

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license, active and in good standing (compact eligible)
  • Minimum one year each of recent acute care and travel nursing experience
  • Med/Surg Telemetry experience required; CAPD and EPIC experience preferred
  • BLS certification required prior to patient care
  • Successful completion of EKG exam at orientation (study guide provided)
  • Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills required

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for adult and geriatric patients
  • Coordinate care, administer medications, and advocate for patient safety
  • Utilize advanced equipment (e.g., Alaris pumps, BiPAP, CPAP, chest tubes)
  • Provide patient and family education throughout the care process
  • Float to other med/surg units as needed; manage a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio
