RN Med Surg | Pineville, Louisiana

Step into a dynamic MedSurg/Tele environment as a critical member of a collaborative nursing team. This contract opportunity offers the chance to care for a diverse patient population in a 36-bed unit, equipped with advanced technology such as EKG machines, DynaMaps, bladder scanners, vein finders, and telemetry. You'll enjoy working alongside a supportive group of RNs, LPNs, techs, and clinical secretaries, all dedicated to delivering exceptional care.

Schedule/Hours:

• Every other weekend or two full weekends per month
• Both day and night shifts available

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with current Med Surg/Tele experience
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records required
• Relevant certifications as mandated for Med Surg/Tele units
• Strong time-management and critical-thinking skills are highly desirable
• Approachable, positive, and team-oriented personality

Responsibilities:

• Manage a 6:1 patient ratio, delivering comprehensive care on the MedSurg/Tele unit
• Monitor patients and utilize state-of-the-art equipment for assessment and documentation
• Perform core procedures such as post-heart cath recovery and telemetry monitoring
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float between all Med Surg/Tele floors when necessary while following established policies and guidelines
• Maintain professionalism in appearance by wearing ceil blue scrubs
