Travel Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) | Prestonsburg, Kentucky

Schedule/Hours

• Night shifts: 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• 36/48 hour alternating schedule over two weeks

Qualifications/Experience

• Active KY or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• AHA BLS & AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Flexibility to float within scope of practice
• Must live at least 75 miles away from the facility
• Valid driver’s license required for submission
• Compliance with assignment confirmation protocol

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care for a 1:5/1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio (may vary with census)
• Accurately document in Meditech EMR
• Coordinate and communicate care plans across interdisciplinary teams
• Float to areas within your licensure/scope of practice as needed
• Commit to regular shifts plus bi-weekly orientation for continual learning
