Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Prestonsburg, KY

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit, managing patient assessments, treatments, and daily care requirements.
• Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and patient families to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document all patient interactions and care activities accurately in accordance with facility protocols.
• Uphold high standards of patient safety, infection control, and quality assurance.
• Educate patients and families about health maintenance, disease prevention, and discharge planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Proven experience working in a Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing environment.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with current nursing best practices, electronic health records, and regulatory requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
