Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Quincy, IL

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Active, unrestricted RN license in good standing
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a medical-surgical (Med Surg) setting
• Excellent assessment, triage, and care-planning abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with interdisciplinary teams and families
• Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications (such as ACLS) are an asset

Key responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for adult patients on a Med Surg unit
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patients’ conditions to physicians and allied health professionals
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times

$2,092 - $2,277/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
