Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Quincy, Massachusetts

Experience professional growth caring for orthopedic, neuro, and general medical overflow patients on a renowned 32-bed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit. Working alongside skilled healthcare professionals, you’ll be exposed to a variety of workplace practices and leadership approaches. This assignment lets you build your resume with hands-on telemetry interpretation, advanced neuro assessments, and adaptable skills earned by floating to related units as needed.

Schedule/Hours:

• 36-hour workweek
• Rotating shifts for day roles: 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a, according to unit needs
• Every other weekend required
• Night positions are fixed (non-rotating)

Key Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Demonstrated neuro assessment skills
• Telemetry competency, including strong telemetry strip interpretation
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• EPIC EMR experience a plus
• Confidence floating between similar units for additional learning opportunities
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for elective ortho/neuro-surgical and general medical overflow patients
• Perform accurate neuro assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Monitor, interpret, and document telemetry strips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver effective patient care
• Maintain up-to-date documentation in EPIC
• Flexibility to float to applicable units as needed
