Key Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience in a Med Surg unit.
  • Proficiency in assessment, care planning, and patient monitoring.
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • BLS certification required; additional certifications a plus.
  • Strong documentation and electronic health record (EHR) skills.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract-based assignment; specific shift details to be discussed during interview.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care for adult patients with varied medical and surgical conditions.
  • Administer medications, manage IVs, dress wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Provide patient education to support recovery and promote health literacy.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, support staff, and other nurses to coordinate patient care plans.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient status and uphold a safe, therapeutic environment.
