Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and monitor medical-surgical patients
  • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Document patient progress, vital signs, and observations accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Respond to emergencies and advocate for patient safety at all times
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
