This assignment places Registered Nurses in the dynamic Phippen 6/7 Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit of a progressive hospital. With exposure to both orthopedic and neuro-surgical populations and the unique demands of a high-acuity Med/Surg overflow environment, you’ll significantly broaden your clinical expertise while refining telemetry and neuro assessment competencies. Working alongside seasoned professionals and adapting to diverse leadership styles will add valuable depth to your portfolio, and the fast-paced environment ensures continuous learning and professional advancement.

Schedule/Hours

• 36 hours/week
• Rotating Day shifts: 7a–7p, 11a–11p, or 7p–7a (rotation as needed; low frequency)
• Night shift: does not rotate
• Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience, including neuro assessment and telemetry
• Proficiency in interpreting Tele Strips
• Current Massachusetts RN license
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Willingness to float to other units if required

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled and compassionate care to orthopedic, neuro/surgical, and medical patients
• Accurately interpret and respond to telemetry monitoring
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to additional units when necessary
• Maintain thorough charting through EPIC
