RN Med Surg | Slocomb, Alabama

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical experience to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. This 13-week contract role is ideal for an RN seeking to build expertise and make a meaningful impact.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• 13-week assignment

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• At least one year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current and required)
• Previous hands-on experience with Cerner electronic health record systems
• Permanent address must be 50 or more miles from the facility

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on the medical-surgical unit
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure best patient outcomes
• Monitor and assess patients to detect changes in condition; implement appropriate interventions
• Document all patient data, medication administration, and nursing interventions accurately in Cerner
• Educate patients and their families on care needs and post-discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and nursing standards
