Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Stockbridge, Georgia

Deliver impactful care within an adult to geriatric patient population by joining a Med/Surg team focused on renal health. This contract position offers a dynamic environment where you will care for patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions.

Schedule:

• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to similar units as needed

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience; candidates new to travel are welcome
• BLS certification
• Experience with Epic, Pyxis, SBAR charting and unit workflow
• Comfortable with renal-focused Med/Surg care: HD catheter management, manual PD/PD cycler, sepsis protocols, tele monitoring, CIWA for ETOH withdrawal, UTI, CKD, and hypertensive emergencies

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio across a 20-bed unit (average census: 18)
• Deliver evidence-based patient care for adults and geriatric patients—focusing on renal complications and related comorbidities
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient safety and flow
• Monitor, assess, and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions
• Document accurately in Epic/EHR systems, ensuring up-to-date care records

• Scrub colors: Navy, white, or combinations
• Maximum of 7 requested days off permitted during assignment
• Expectation to work relevant major holidays, based on assignment period
• No on-call duties
• Orientation hours based on assignment length
• Compliance with onboarding is essential for an on-time start; orientation occurs bi-weekly
