A nursing opportunity is available in Stockbridge, GA, focused on medical-surgical care with a specialization in renal function. This contract position offers a dynamic environment serving adult to geriatric patients with a variety of complex conditions including sepsis, chronic kidney disease, and hypertensive emergencies. The role requires a licensed Registered Nurse with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience; new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Proficient in managing hemodialysis catheters, manual peritoneal dialysis, and PD cyclers
  • Experience with sepsis, telemonitoring, alcohol withdrawal (CIWA), urinary tract infections, and emergency interventions related to renal failure
  • Comfortable working with electronic health records systems such as Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
  • Flexibility to float across units and open to working every other weekend
  • No call responsibilities, holiday work is expected for designated major holidays included in the assignment period

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide attentive nursing care to a patient population in a 20-room unit with a typical census of 18
  • Manage complex renal care needs, including dialysis procedures and emergency response
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
  • Adhere strictly to compliance procedures and orientation requirements for timely start

Shift and Schedule:

  • Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week (07:00 AM to 07:00 PM)
  • Rotation every other weekend
  • Maximum return-to-office interval of 7 days
