Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of one year of recent Med Surg experience
  • Proficient in assessment, documentation, and medication administration
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
  • BLS certification (required); ACLS (preferred)

Schedule:

  • Contract position with flexible shifts available depending on facility needs

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring on a Med Surg unit
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and perform treatments according to physician orders and protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and positive experiences
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic charting systems
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and recovery
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and participate in rapid response interventions as needed
  • Uphold infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards at all times
